Welcome!

This is the web page for Mrs. Yeager's 7th and 8th grade English at Granfield JH/HS.  In English class, students will develop their ability to write, edit, and speak formal English.  We will study sentence structures, punctuation, parts of speech and their jobs within sentences, as well as build vocabulary skills through the study of Greek and Latin roots and prefixes.  Students will also memorize and analyze different genres of poetry.  We will focus on the main skills of the ACT:  comma usage, subject- verb agreement, and pronoun-antecedent agreement.
